Projects RISC-KIT, ASTARTE, PEARL and RISES-AM are jointly organising a special session on Coastal Threats in Europe. This special session will take place at the IAHR World Congress in The Hague, on June 30th 2015.

Nilay Dogulu, from Middle East Technical University, will present ASTARTE on behalf of the coordinator.

 The global focus on water had increased rapidly in recent years. Many water issues are high on the political agenda, whether it concerns the lack of access to safe water and sanitation or the increase in water-related disasters due to floods and droughts. Hydro-environment engineering and research is more important than ever. The next IAHR World Congress, that will be held at the World Forum in The Hague, the Netherlands, will focus on discussing and presenting the advancements in the aforementioned issues. The event will take place from 28 June to 3 July 2015.
