Martin Wronna graduated in Geography from the University of Salzburg. In 2010 he did his ERASMUS in Lisbon. In the framework of his ERASMUS stay abroad the idea on the study presented at EGU 2016 initiated. Presently, he is part of the ASTARTE project team (Assessment, STrategy And Risk Reduction for Tsunamis in Europe) where he developed a study on the Deterministic Hazard Assessment for Sines, Portugal. He has been working on tsunamis since 2011 and is investigating in the tsunami group of IPMA (Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera) after he successfully finished his master in Geophysics at the Faculty of Science at Lisbon University. He is now waiting for the approval of his PhD Proposal on tsunami detection, monitoring and early warning associated with diffuse plate boundaries.
